Lemon rice































Basmati rice – 1 cup
Lemon juice – ¼ cup
Chana dal – 1 tbsp
Cash nut – ¼ cup
Pea nut – ¼ cup
Green chilli - 1
Curry leaves – 2 springs
Dry red chilli – 2
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Asafoetida powder – a pinch
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste

1. Firstly cooked the rice.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
3. When it splutters add chana dal, cash nut and pea nut and fry till it become brown.
4. Then add dry red chilli, green chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida powder and mix well.
5. Add the lemon juice, cooked rice and salt and mix well and simmer for two minutes.
