Basmati
rice – 1 cup
Grated
coconut – 1 cup
Chana
dal – 1 tbsp
Urad
dal – 1 tbsp
Cash
nut – ¼ cup
Chopped
ginger – 1 tsp
Curry
leaves – 2 springs
Dry
red chili – 2
Mustard
seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin
seeds – ½ tsp
Asafoetida
powder – a pinch
Chopped
coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
Coconut
oil – 1 tbsp
Salt
– to taste

Firstly cooked the rice.
2.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
3.
When it splutter add cumin seeds, chana dal, urud dal ,cash nut and
ginger and fry till it become light golden colour.
4.
Then add dry red chili, curry leaves and asafoetida powder and mix well.
5.
Add coconut and fry 1- 2 minutes till the raw smell comes.
6.
Add the coriander leaves, cooked rice and salt and mix well and simmer for two
minutes.
