Dal
–1 cup
Onions
–1 no.(cut to medium sized pieces)
Tomato
–1 no.
Green
chilies –2 or 3 nos. (Split length-wise)
Garlic
– 2 cloves (Cut into small slices)
Ginger–
a small piece (Cut into small slices)
Turmeric
powder – 1/2 tsp
Chopped
coriander leaves–1/4 cup
Cumin
seeds – 1/2 tsp
Oil
– 1 tbsp
Dry
red chillies – 2 nos.
Shallot
– 2 nos. (Cut into small slices)
Curry
leaves – 2 springs
Coriander
leaves – a few
Ghee
– 1tsp
Salt–
to taste

Wash and add the dal, green chilies, tomato, onion, turmeric powder and salt by
adding 3 cups of water to a pressure cooker.

Cook until done.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, shallots, ginger, garlic, curry leaves
and dry red chilies and saute well.
4.
Pour them into the curry and add ghee and coriander leaves and mix well.
