Besan
/ Chick Pea Flour - 1 cup
Red
Chili Powder -1 tbsp
Pepper
powder – ½ tsp
Asafoetida powder
– ½ tsp
Curry
Leaves (chopped) - a few
Salt
- to taste
Oil
- for deep frying

Mix together; besan, red chili powder, salt, asafoetida powder and curry leaves
well and make a soft dough adding water. (Approximately ¼ cup of water. Don’t
add too much water)
2.
Fill the Idiyappam maker with the prepared dough.
3.
Press the dough into the hot oil in the pan.
4.
Fry it until crispy.
5.
When it cools, break it into smaller pieces.
