Pazham Pori/Ethakka Appam/Banana Fritters































Ripe plantains - 3
All purpose Flour (Maida) –1 cup
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Beaten egg – 1 (optional)
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Salt – a pinch
Water - to prepare the batter
Oil – enough to deep fry

1. Peel the plantains and cut into 4 pieces.
2. Mix all the remaining ingredients except oil to make the batter. (Batter should be medium thick consistency, not too thick or runny)
3. Dip the banana pieces in the batter and deep fry till golden brown.
4. Remove and drain on paper towels.
