Uzhunnu Vada































Urad Dal - 2 cups
Onion - 2 nos. (Chopped)
Green chillies - 2 nos. (Chopped)
Curry leaves - a few (chopped)
Ginger – 1 inch piece (chopped)
Black Pepper Corns - 1 tbsp (crushed)
Salt - to taste
Oil - for fry

1. Soak urad dal in water for 4 -5 hours.
2. Drain the water and grind the dal by adding little water and make a thick paste.
3. Transfer the batter into a bowl and add onion, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, black pepper corns and salt and mix well.
4. Heat oil in a pan.
5. Wet palms of your hands and make a small ball from the batter.
6. Press it to get a flat round shape and make a hole in the middle of it.
7. Drop it into the hot oil and fry till it becomes golden brown colour.
8. Serve hot with Chutnety / Sambar
 Note: Wet your palm each time you make balls.
