Sugar – 1 tbsp

1. Chop the dates into 4 pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add ginger, garlic & curry leaves and sauté well.

3. When it becomes light brown colour then adds the chilli powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida powder and sauté for a second. Then add water and vinegar. Allow them to boil.
4. Add the chopped dates, sugar, salt and mix well. Remove from heat.
Allow to cool and transfer to an air tight container.
